As it is starting to feel like fall, I had to go online and look for my favorite fall festival. The only problem is that apparently the apple harvest locally is decimated by the weather we had this spring and summer. 😦 *Pout* I always like to stock up a bit on apples at the festival. Here is the details.
26th Annual Apple Harvest Festival
Retzer Nature Center
S14 W28167 Madison Street
Waukesha, WI 53188
Saturday, September 22nd
9 AM to 5 PM
$5 per car load
They have a scarecrow contest earlier, so there will be a scarecrow lane for viewing the scarecrows. There is usually a hay ride, a number of vendors selling walking sticks, homemade soaps, crafts, demonstrating their crafting, etc. There is caramel apples, apple pie, etc.
But this year, the Apple Market where you can buy lots of different varieties of local apples will not be there this year. So they are inviting farmers to bring some of their other produce to display and sell. Should still be interesting, but definitely not the same!
