Lions Days: Free Parking & Admission Village of Sussex Festival
Annual Lions Days Festival is this weekend 7/13, 7/14 and 7/15.  This year the Sussex Outreach Services that is connected with the local food pantry will be involved.  100% of proceeds from the festival will go to the local food pantry.  The pantry is also in great need of food donations. There will be a brat fry at Piggly Wiggly before and during the parade on Saturday where they will collect food and money donations for the pantry.  I think they are also going to have people at the festival gathering donations but not sure.  More information can be found at these two links:

Free Movie Festivals Village of Sussex
There are also free music festivals at Weyer park which is right by the local library.  The free music festivals. Weyer park is on Elmwood & Main Street intersection.

In Case of Rain:  These concerts will be held in Weyer Park – N64W23760 Main Street unless the weather forces us to move the concert to the Lion’s Open air Shelter in the sussex Village Park. any change of location will be posted on this site.

Free Outdoor Movie at Weyer Park.  Family friendly movies shown.

Spooky Sussex: Family Friendly Halloween Event
Friday, October 26
5:oopm – 8:00PM
Sussex Village Park
Cost: $5 per person, kids 1 & under free

Spooky Sussex is a family-friendly event specifically designed for those who seek a not-so-scary, but oh-so-fun activity for Halloween. The event will include food, cookie and pumpkin decorating, a craft, wagon rides and a costume contest for the kids. There will also be a lighted haunted trail through the woods for families to walk as the sun goes down and the shadows of Sussex come out. The activities are geared for ages 12 & under.  This event will be held rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
