Are you having hard times this year, live in Waukesha County and need some help with providing presents for your children? If so, you should be aware of Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County.
Or, would you love to sponsor a family, or donate toys to others this year? You also should be aware of Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County.
The Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County, founded in 1949, is an independent, nonprofit group that offers assistance to thousands of Waukesha County families in need during the Christmas season. They collaborate with more than 40 human service agencies and public schools who participate as referral agencies for our clients.
Christmas Clearing Council aids in sponsorship of families. The giver delivers the gifts to the family they are matched with and many give gifts, christmas meal fixings and some give gift cards. Sponsors are given gift ideas, clothing sizes, ages, etc. Sponsors are asked to deliver their gifts directly to the family by December 15th.
Volunteers are also needed to help in their office or at CCC’s Toy Shop. (If I remember right, non-matched families can come and pick out gifts at the toy shop.)
Donations can be sent in to Christmas Clearing Council, P.O. Box 34, Waukesha, WI 53187-0034 or pay online with paypal at http://www.christmasclearingcouncil.org
Donate new toy, unwrapped toys. For a complete list of drop-off sites for toys, visit their website.

(Now this is based on what little I have heard and could be wrong. But I believe you have the be the guardian of the children to quality for presents through CCC. IE I have received a phone call from a grandparent who wanted help in getting some presents and they claimed that CCC would not help them. I am not sure what their qualifications are, but it is worth a shot, if you can’t afford presents. Matched families do get a lot and it truely helps make it a better Christmas. My church has sponsored families through this organization many times.)
My grandma worked with this years ago and I’ve thought about getting involved but haven’t really researched it very much yet. I am not sure I want to go through this or some other organization. As I have a church I am a member of so maybe there are families we are closer to that we can help. I’ve thought of this but havent put into action yet.
