Waukesha County Food Pantries

I’ve compiled a list of food pantries in Waukesha County that I could find online.  I hope to eventually include more information about all the food pantries.  If you have information such as how often you are allowed to visit these, or what kinds of things they hand out etc. I would love to hear from you so I can make this post even better.

Most food pantries require social security card for all household members, drivers license, paychecks or letter from SSI/SSDI (income proof), possibly recent tax returns at some, and a recent piece of mail like a phone bill or electric bill, to verify address to show the first time you stop for food.   They sometimes will ask for updated information about once a year or so maybe.  If you show up and you need more verification than what you have with you, most are nice and will let you get food that day but request next time you bring other things they request 🙂 I am saying this from personal experience.

This food pantry allows visits twice per calendar month.  They have the basic food stuff, and have a choice of fridge and freezer items here as well.  This food pantry seems to have fresh produce only or mostly in summer when St. James local church donates from their large church garden or from other local sources/people who are nice enough to donate home grown produce.  They have clothing and children and household items to go through here also.
